It may sound really lame to explain this, but I wear it as a testament to Conor Oberst and how much he has influenced me as a person. He wore the same necklace for a number of years. I put mine on in high school when I was going through a lot of shit. It’s sort of just a reminder to myself of the difficult times his music has gotten me through, and since I can’t have tattoos right now it’s my own way of externally expressing my love for him. Silly, right? Whatever. Thom Yorke wore something similar for a while too. It’s a reminder to myself that I am not alone in how I feel about the world. That music will always give me a way out of my troubles. Thanks for asking, creep ;)

I am not the first person listed. You know why I’m okay with that? Because the first person listed is Breanna. I would feel awful if someone was crushing on me harder than they were on Breanna. It’s just not right.
